Whilst riding my push bike to work the other day along a rather muddy and leafy road I remembered the classic 80’s TV programme junior kick start.
Presented by Blue Peter’s Peter Purves, contestants would compete in motorcycle time trials over an obstacle course. You would have seconds added to your time if you put your foot down or touched or knocked an obsacle over. I remember aged 8 pretending to be in Kick start whilst riding round on my Raleigh BMX mini burner!
Check out this classic clip from Junior Kickstart when Mark Scofield fell from an obstacle, two St Johns Ambulance men rush to help him but comically fall over!

Fantastic Mr Fox and yes pretty fantastic I thought. Having read the book many years ago I can’t really remember the true Roald Dahl story. This is slightly diverted from the original but still very enjoyable to watch.
A slightly wacky, quick, style of stop motion animation, but with excellent attention to detail and great characters gives this film a nice style of it own, it was refreshing to watch compared to some of the usual computer generated animation.
Directed by Wes Anderson, with George Clooney as the voice of Fantastic Mr Fox. Keep an eye out for the excellent Michael Gambon as Franklin Bean and an apperance and great song from Mr Jarvis Cocker as Petey.
